Personalisation and design
Elementa by Ritmonio: modular bathroom accessories — supports, rods and shelves — in 19 finishes for composing made-to-measure towel rails and shelving.

Eclecticism, dynamism and total freedom of composition. Ritmonio presents Elementa, the new series of accessories for creating unique, highly personalised bathroom settings.
Instead of a closed set of towel rail, soap dish and hook, Elementa is a system of pieces that combine with one another. In this article we explain how it works, which elements make it up and their dimensions, the materials and finishes in which it is offered, and what to bear in mind when specifying it in a project.

Elementa: modular bathroom accessories
A collection that enhances freedom of composition and responds to the different needs of interior design. These are accessories conceived and created to configure personalised settings, through versatile pieces that lend themselves to many applications, with the aim of creating new forms, spaces and designs in which the aesthetics and functionality of every element come first.
Ritmonio presented Elementa in 2020 with an approach of its own: giving each user the chance to shape ‘made-to-measure’ settings. The collection is designed by Ritmonio designLAB, the brand’s in-house design team, and its catalogue defines it as a bathroom fittings concept in which taps and accessories cease to be details and become the protagonists of the project.

How the system works: supports, rods and shelves
The basis of Elementa is very simple: a cylindrical support fixed to the wall and a rod that rests on it. From there, each piece changes function depending on what it is combined with. On its own, the support works as a hook for towels or bathrobes; with a rod it becomes a towel rail, and the rod in turn serves as a base for the shelves.
- Support-hook: a cylinder 30 mm in diameter and 80 mm long that is fixed to the wall. On its own it acts as a hook; in pairs it holds a rod.
- Rods: 10 mm diameter bars in five lengths, from 170 to 850 mm, for short or long towel rails and for hanging shelves.
- Ring: a piece 25 mm in diameter and 6 mm thick that fits onto the rod.
- Acrylic stone shelves: these sit on the rod. There is a soap dish shelf, shelves with one or two holes for a tumbler or dispenser, and plain shelves of 260 and 390 mm.
- Complements: tumbler, freestanding toothbrush tumbler, soap dispenser and wall-mounted or freestanding toilet brush holder, also in metallic finishes.
These pieces add up to the combinations Ritmonio proposes: a shelf with two holes on a rod holds the toothbrush tumbler and the soap dispenser; a soap dish shelf and a towel can share the same rod; several rods at different heights make up a complete bathroom wall.

Pieces and dimensions in the collection
Elementa’s launch catalogue brings together 17 elements. The table summarises their main dimensions according to Ritmonio’s technical sheets, issued in June 2020.
The shelves are made in a single finish, white acrylic stone (F38). It is the metal pieces that change finish, so the colour of a composition is set by the supports, rods and complements.
Materials and 19 finishes
This collection comes in 19 finishes and different materials; among them we would highlight stainless steel, a material that brings purity to interiors, and acrylic stone, a versatile material that adapts to the needs of the project or space. According to the collection sheet, the metal pieces are made in AISI 316L stainless steel or brass.

The 19 finishes in the launch catalogue fall into five families:
- Chrome: chrome (CRL), brushed chrome (IX), black chrome (CRB), brushed black chrome (BLX) and satin black chrome (F31).
- Gold and champagne: gold (DOR), brushed gold (GOX), brushed champagne (CHX) and satin champagne (F37).
- Rose gold and bronze: rose gold (F32), brushed rose gold (F33), satin rose gold (F36), brushed bronze (BRX) and brushed dark bronze (F34).
- Lacquered: white (C03) and black (C04).
- Stainless steel: natural (INOX), champagne (ICX) and black (IBX).

A bathroom coordinated with Ritmonio taps
The accessories are made up of modules of different sizes and lengths, which can be assembled according to taste or aesthetic and functional needs. This makes it possible to create original, personalised combinations, with coordinated settings that respect the architectural features and stylistic character of the space: from the classic shelf for objects to specific elements such as soap dishes and toothbrush holders, for a bathroom that takes the concept of personalisation to the limit.

A versatility that celebrates eclecticism and bespoke work, two concepts very much present in Elementa. According to Ritmonio, these accessories can be combined with all its tap series, in both finish and design, and give rise to countless possible scenarios and configurations. In the collection’s catalogue, in fact, several compositions share their finish with the basin or bath taps.

Key points when specifying Elementa
Ritmonio’s catalogue proposes designing the composition in four steps: what is needed, which pieces are chosen, how they are drawn on the wall and what style is given to it. Applied to the project, these are the points worth settling:
- Needs first: decide what each wall must provide for (towels, soap, toothbrushes, objects) before choosing pieces, and group functions on the same rod where possible.
- Available lengths: the rods range from 170 to 850 mm and the shelves are 130, 260 or 390 mm long by 95 mm deep. It is worth dimensioning the composition in elevation with these measurements.
- Consistent finish: choose the metal finish together with that of the taps, as the collection shares its range with Ritmonio’s series. The shelves are always white acrylic stone.
- Wall fixing: each support is an anchor point, so plan where the supports will go and what substrate the wall offers before the wall finish is closed.
- Technical documentation: Ritmonio’s sheets give the dimensions of each piece and provide the basis for drawing the composition in the project.
